Three weeks ago I was suspended for 10 days for "sexual harassing" some girl I don't even know in the library. They just assumed it was me, because I was the only person named "Kevin" who was signed in at the library that day (which is completely illogical because most people don't even sign in). I denied doing anything (since I didn't), I even had two witnesses backing me up (one of which was a teacher). The principal didn't believe me though (even though I have never lied to him or any other teacher/faculty member and even though I had two witnesses who said I didn't do anything, and even though I haven't gotten in trouble once in three years [and I'm a Junior now]). Well, my principal said that he didn't think I deserved any more than 10 days, but that it wasn't up to him (it was up to the superintendent of the entire school district). I had a meeting with the superintendent, it went well (or so I thought). I dressed nice and was very kind and respectful in there. She seemed like a relatively nice person. I started seeing a counselor immediately after being suspended for 10 days, so he could help me get back into school, help me get over the loss of a family member who has just died, and help Tabitha Wright and me work out problems with our relationship. Well the counselor told the superintendent that I have been nothing but respectful and honest too him (which I have), and that he believes I shouldn't get more than the 10 days. Despite all of this, I just got suspended for the entire school year (with a possibility for part of next year), for a crime which I did not commit (in fact, I have proof that I didn't do it, both a teacher and student were there saying that I didn't even do anything). I'm a good kid, I would never harass someone (unless it was me and some friends joking around with each other by calling each other names, but I wouldn't do that at school), let alone sexually harass somebody. I am one of the most kind hearted people you could ever know, anybody who knows me says that. I don't hate anybody and I get along with pretty much everyone. There are people at my school who bring knives to school, fight people, do drugs, and various other bad things. Yet, they don't get suspended for 180 days. It's all because they have a strict "no sexual harassment" rule. I really want to get back into school (my counselor, my parents, and I have all told the superintendent that), I have all A's and B's (except maybe one C, but I think I brought that up), I have perfect behavior (aside from this single unwarranted false accusation against me), I have completed all of my work while suspended and turned it in, and I have cooperated 100% with the school during this. The school is also extremely incompetent. They claimed they were going to mail me a letter in the mail that would say whether or not I would get suspended for any days more than 10 or not. Yet I didn't receive a letter (and I'm supposed to be going back to school tomorrow morning). Since we didn't get a letter, my parents called the school today and asked whether or not the superintendent added any extra days (the decision was entirely up to her; in other words, she is both judge and executioner; which is too much power for one man, or in this case, woman), and they said they were adding 180 extra days onto my suspension (making it a 190 day suspension over something I didn't even do). Now then, based on what I have told you (which is all true, you have my word as a gentleman on that), do you believe I have been dealt a great injustice or not?
