I don't see the novelty in sex either.
Other than it feels good, but I don't see either of them as "YAY I had sex" for the sake of sex being like an accomplishment other than having fun or "huzzah I kept my virginity!" for the sake of having your virginity being an accomplisment other than just not yet having found someone you feel sexually connected to.
