Got my prescriptions, now life can be easier

I finally got a prescription for Paxil today.

I took Lexapro, Topamax, and Abilify for years and abruptly stopped taking it last summer.  Since I moved here, the stress of living on my own and basically starting a new life has really set me back emotionally.  Like every medication like Paxil, it takes time to figure out what works.  So, I've got a month or so to see how this helps me.  I just cannot wait to have all of these daily panic attacks/nervous breakdowns end.

My doctor decided not to give me anything for bipolar disorder because he thinks that we should leave it alone.  It "will add some life" to me; which is perfectly fine.

I also got a Vicodin prescription for my back pain.  I'll try it out this weekend to see how it affects me.  I really don't want to use it often because I'm scared of becoming addicted.  I also got a prescription for skin cream to calm these rashes.  We think that the dry weather here has made my eczema worse.

I think that very soon I will start feeling good again

[Please do not say anything along the lines of:
-your life could be worse
-there are people who have it worse than you
-medication is bad
-can't you just suck it up and deal with it on your own?

Those kinds of things to say are just so ignorant.  You aren't me and you don't know how hard it is for me everyday.]

Doesn't it feel so reassuring when you've got a good doctor helping you out and thinking about your problems with you? I think that's really good. I know how horrible it is to be panicky and nervous every day for weeks. I just moved to a new town too, but with my family. It's really stressful and I haven't gotten a new doctor yet but I will soon.

I remember how much hope it gave me when I was first prescribed medication for depression. I still felt awful for a few weeks but then suddenly things began to look up. Knowing that I was trying a medication helped me hold on for those weeks, and then it really DID help me to gradually get back on top of things for the most part!

So good luck, here's hoping the Paxil is what you need. Yeah, be careful with the Vicodin, an addiction wouldn't be great... maybe there's a less addictive option? You could ask about it. But if it helps, that's good, that's what it's there for :D

Now i am going to tell you something. I know it is not right to tell you this but fuck it. Smoke pot. Unless you are in sports.
Pot will help with all of that. Trust me. I know. I have everything that you just described. Plus more.

Pot is the only one thing that has helped me. I mean like i have took every pill you could think of. Respodal/respdon Geadon? Zoloft all that shit. And the only thing that worked hardcore was pot.

Now with the eczema. I can not find anything to make mine go away. It stays and wont go away no matter how much i take a bath/shower. Or if i don't take a shower for a few days so if you can tell me how to get rid of it slightly i would love you forever.

I am sorry to say that and all but what i just said s the truth. I mean you don't have too smoke it and everything but i am just saying. Talk to your doctor about it. Ask him if it is right for you.

I a m going to do that when i get medical i am so sick of being angry and shit. It calms me down helps me eat helps me sleep. All that good stuff. :D But i am just suggesting.

Thanks for the pot advice, but my prescriptions are really, really cheap ($10/90-days).  I can definitely deal with that.

For my eczema, I usually put vaseline on the irritated spots before bed (or anytime) and I think that really helps.
