there were more people on here who like rap music

just so I could have a civilized discussion without someone being like EY. RAP SUCKS. THEY TALK; MUSIC HAS TO BE SINGING/HAS TO HAVE PEOPLE PLAYING INSTRUMENTS--FIRST OF ALL, music is not to be determined by humans ANYWAY considering it was here before WE were. We just manage to manipulate it and SECONDLY, if that was the case then most rap would be music anyway considering most rappers don't run around TALKING like they RAP and most use an assortment of instruments or just their sounds ANYWAY

ok. If you don't like rap, fine, but don't say it's 'not music.'

Yeah, really. Some rap has really great lyrics, that have nothing to do with blunts and hoes and stuff. Some of it is really intelligent, purposeful stuff.

No, that's singing.
Rap is more like chanting.

And as much as I dislike country, at least it doesn't actively threaten to make my ears bleed like most rap does (yes, including the rap people keep telling me is good).

I won't say rap isn't music, you're free to call it whatever you like. Nothing stops music from sounding like nails on a chalkboard technically.

and if you listen to smooth shit then hey, heavy metal and 80s music sound like ass too
