Camcorders are consumer electronics, well, I consider them to be as such. I moved the topic from the SL discussion for that reason. Limiting responses to SLs will significantly impact the amount of responses.

Just put it on your computer, the video file and from there just upload it as usual onto the youtube. If it doesent work...then you have to change the format of the video, which is a lot more complicated and is something to find out in another topic if the first thing doesent work.

You can.

If it's a digital camcorder it's as easy as uploading from the hdd of the camcorder or wherever you saved it.

But under that definition just about anything tech related could go in here as long as it is a physical device.

I probably should have gone for Software Tech Support however, I am not going to move it again for the sake of me not being an action whore. Any other SL, excluding the OP, can move it if they'd like.

Yes.

First of all, you need to put the video on your computer.  If you're using a MiniDV tape camcorder, connect it to your computer with a FireWire/iLink cable (it should have come with one) and use the camcoder's software to capture it.

If you're using a HDD/SD memory card camcorder then simply plug into your computer and drag and drop the video files you want to upload.

I suggest you use Windows Live Movie Maker to cut the video into the exact bit you want to upload and then publish as a Windows Media Video file, to make uploading time much shorter.

Then go onto YouTube and upload!

Depending on your physical device, this may or may not be possible.  Is there a way of connecting the cam corder to your computer?  Or, otherwise extracting the video from your device and putting it somewhere else?  If not, you may be out of luck.
