It's as fast as xp, it's also a 64 bit system which allows for more ram or essentially the utilization of more ram even though most games don't support the max ram being used. It takes up about as much space as Vista aswell so it's sweet. It's pretty awesome, i'm still contemplating whether to bother upgrading though from Vista.
