We've already been over this one, and you can't squirm your way out of being caught in bullshit. http://www.golivewire.com/forums/peer-ysysooo-support-a.html My thread fits perfectly within the guidelines.
There is a huge difference between: l33t speak and agjnioewutgweihjga[iwoejgtweitu which is what you posted.
Carie, that post would be called the ultimate in randomness... where do you draw the line? Is there such a thing as too random?
that post was illegible. it was a string of random characters that had no purpose, no contribution, no thought because it was nothing.
"a string of random characters"... is that not the ultimate definition of a "Random Musing"? As I asked before, where do you draw that line? Legibility has nothing to do with randomness. That may be the whole purpose of the "musing"... But even using words that can be understood individually yet randomly placed and still just as random and without (obvious) purpose, would you delete it? If so or if not, back to my question, where do you draw the line?

We allow crap, disallow stuff made to cause problems (like clogging up forum listings, fresh topic bar) and stuff which isn't anything, asdasdas, which shouldn't really need to be explained why we disallow it unless you're being a picky twat.
LOL We? You used* to be a mod.

The definition of a musing is actually something that has come from deep thought or even meditation. To muse is to become absorbed in thought. It's often an inconclusive, deep thought pattern. So if we're going to argue definitions, a random musing is really just another way of saying a deep thought.
Then even a random musing has to have some coherent meaning, right? That leaves most of these arguments about posts that are "random" ("We allow crap...", for example) without valid ground to stand on... get your finger on the trash button.
In some ways, I totally wish we could. However that's not what DTRM is at this point. It's really more like Random Thoughts and Silly Stuff.

I understand your dilemma. It's hard to make a decision when there are no real rules to follow and if you use your own judgment it's possible, even probable, that a convincing complainer can get even a valid deletion overturned. Yet the "team" sees no problem with creating just such a situation. In fact, the "hivemind" mentality will even defend that contradictory stance. Sad, really.
