I suppose that's why they are called guidelines, though, rather than actual rules. It gives the Mods more latitude to ignore them.

Spam is spam. If it's okay there, why don't we rename that forum the "Spammers Welcome" forum? Or the "Anything Goes" forum? Is it just because it's too much of a hassle to make decisions?

I gotta say, QFT. Random musings actually have a point to them, even if they are random. Spam, on the other hand, has no point and has no value. Random musings stimulate some light hearted discussion, spam stimulates nothing but a wall of "k", "cool story bro", "inb4 ____", and other meaningless drivel.
