So..
I have a big issue.
Last track season was my first time running and I got a bunch of injuries from it.
Posterior Tibial Tendonitis which I just got cleared from about a month ago, Shin splints which are sadly starting to come back from track training recently and some other really serious funky thing in my left ankle that I got treated for with a Cortisone steroid injection about 2 months ago.

Track season is about to start in 1 month and I don't know how to prevent my injuries from reoccurring.
I'm trying to jog slowly and work my way up to track but even that is causing shin pain.
I'm doing stretching and I'm going to buy new running shoes Thursday.
What else can I do?
I'm determined to start track again. :|

Ice bath.

I feel the salty waves come in. I feel them crash against my skin.
And I smile as I respire because I know they'll never win.

I'm just not sure I'll be in shape enough.
Diving straight rigorously into track is part of why I got hurt, so I want to condition..
I don't know if a week will be enough time.

1. See a physical therapist. Talk to your doctor about getting a referral.
2. Ice, ice, ice. 3 times a day.
3. Make sure you are eating properly.
4. Take it easy on the running for now. There are other ways that you can stay in shape, through cross training. Try the elliptical, swimming, biking, etc.

that's better than starting now and hurting yourself, meaning you wouldn't run at all.

besides, they'll get you into shape quick

For issues like tendinitis and shin splints all you have to do is REST, stretch, ice, and get proper shoes (you might need custom arch support too).

Stretch your gastroc and soleus the most.

But really you need to rest, continuing might only make it worse, or cause a complete tear.

Some rehab exercises..
