Warwick  ABB/BBC
Bath       AAB/BBB
Exeter     ABB/BBB
Edinburgh ABB     (1 extra year)
Lancaster ABB/BBC

I'm predicted A*AAB, I'm applying for Electronic engineering, first offer is MEng, second is BEng. Edinburgh has an extra year for either course but the tuition fees for every year are half of the ones in England. The offer is the same for both the B and the M.

Opinions? Mainly Brits.

I think Bath :D

Warwick will be my first choice, Bath will be second. If I get offers from all of them.

Best of luck!

I'm surprised you got such a low offer from Warwick - my brother applied there for maths and they wanted 3 As including additional maths and a 2 in STEP, which is higher than what Oxford wanted (3 As in anything).

Bath is a really nice place too and looked like a nice uni.

That's like all over the country!

All pretty solid choices though, don't know anything about Lancaster though.

I have a lot of family in Edinburgh. Great city (well most parts of it, you've got your dodgy bit just like anywhere).

Bath is also a lovely place.

If you go to Bath I'll visit you. xD

Lol, anyway, have you visited all the unis? If so, which course did you think suited you best from the sounds of it, and also which city/town did you really seem to like? I think that the city is as important as the course, as you want to be happy there.
But considering I'm a year younger than you, my opinion probably doesn't count for much, haha. :3
Good luck choosing!

I would go for Warwick.

I've got an 'offer' from warwick already. I went on a course there in June and they said that because we'd been on the course, everyone would automatically be given an offer when they applied. I'm filling up my other options because I don't have it in writing and just in case.

@periwinkle, it's engineering. One of the grades goes down if you do physics A level. I was surprised but all the engineering offers all over the country seem to be pretty much identical.

I did a course at Warwick for a week, and I've spent a lot of time in Bath and Exeter because I have family there. I've not ever been to Lancaster or Edinburgh, but hopefully everything will go to plan and I'll end up at Warwick.

Avoid Bath like the plague is my recommendation.

The uni's nice the accomodation's ok, but the prices in the city itself are ASTRONOMICAL.

Plus the university isn't within walking distance of the city (and if you've been, you'll know the size of the hill)

Also Bath has a higher grade offer than Warwick so it'd be incredibly stupid to have as your insurance offer.

Warwick I agree with, maybe Edinburgh as insurance ( you don't actually have any courses you could set as "insurance" if warwick is first choice)

Be careful with Warwick, it's small and not as close to Birmingham for night life as you think

That is why there is a bus going directly from the campus to the city (in bath). Plus, the prices of shopping isn't going to be different in the supermarkets and if you want bars/clubs, they have them on campus so you don't really need to leave the campus that often.

And Edinburgh is a very nice city too, I don't know about the uni though, but the price thing is defo a good point.

I would go to Edinburgh or Warwick. Edinburgh's the best place, and Warwick is the best uni.
