Its official , found out on sunday . I'm so scared though I'm going to be a young mother and the "man" that got me pregnant now only wants to be friends .He'll still be there for the kid but he'll just be my friend I dont know what to do I dont know what to say i think i just need some moral support
First of all, you have my total support, so just ignore the earoles who make crass remarks because they know fuck all. I understand how scared you must feel, and are anxious about telling your mother. The first and most important thing you need to do is tell Mum. Because though understandably she is going to be shocked, angry and maybe say hard words, later when she's cooled down a bit will sit and listen while you tell her openly and honestly how scared you feel, and that the father of your baby is basically chickening out, is a spineless young guy who can not take resposibility which is why he's now asking to be only "friends". Your Mum was a teenager once and believe it or not, went through much of what we girls have when she was our age. Which makes it easier for her to understand you, and ask you questions like weren't you using contraceptives. The next thing, is to ask your Mum to help you make a decision about whether to have your baby, and discuss the options of abortion, or whether you would want to give birth and to raise your child in your family. There are other options, but for now you want to find a quiet time when your mum is alone so you can talk to her. You may also be mature enough to have your baby and raise it into childhood. Just discuss as much as you can, and listen to Mum and try not to interrupt her, cuz she'll be trying her best while trying to keep calm in the situation. I was pregant last year and planned to keep my baby, not have an abortion as I am "Pro Life", but I miscarried. If you need, PM me. I'll listen and try and help where I can. I'm 19 and am a foster mum to a young boy, and he is my absolute joy. But to you, I'm only a whisper away. :) Arqy edited for spelling Post edited at 3:03 pm on Nov. 3, 2009 by Arquette
