So I was at a party with my hunny last night and an old friend was there with her brand new baby.

First thing I see when I walk up is that she has her tiny little booby hanging out the baby attached.  Not that I have a problem with breast feeding, but come on.  Atleast cover yourself with the blanket next to you, or go into the next room which was completely empty.

The second thing I notice is the bottle of beer in her hand, and the cigarette in her friends hand right next to her.  She is underage for one, and breast feeding, then driving herself home for the night after drinking.

That girl had no business having a baby.

i'm fine with breast feeding in public i'd walk around with my booby hanging out but that's me i'd do it anyways. but the other two things is ridiculous. you shouldn't even be around smoke with a newborn yet alone breastfeeding and drinking. you should have called her mom to pick her up right then.

Her mom knew she was there, she had stopped by to drop the baby off to her.

I have no problem with it either, but you should have some modesty, to a point.  If you have a blanket use it.  Not everyone wants to see it.  Especially when people have asked you to move to the next room.  The first being the owner of the house.

she may not have any business having a baby in those circumstances and not taking care of her or the baby's health, but unfortunately there's parents like that out there. hopefully the baby will be fine.

Just because there are parents like that out there, doesn't mean that it is okay.

I agree with the smoking and drinking thing but breast feeding is good and is preferable is babies under one.
I breast feed my daughter and have no same in it, if people have a problem with it they can deal with it themselves.

If she's drinking and smoking that nicotene is going straight to the baby and so is the beer. If she's going to be doing stuff like that she has no buisness breastfeeding and it's doing more harm to the baby then good. That's disgusting and I really, really hate people like that.

I would of offered her a ride home, just for the baby's sake since you know, she was drinking an all. It's not the baby's fault that it has a shitty mother. I feel sorry for it.

That was more my point with the feeding about the harm to the baby not really the fact that she was hanging out in public.  However when you are at a persons house and they ask you to go somewhere to breast feed you do that.  Its common courtesy.

I plan to breast feed my children however I will have modesty enough to cover myself when in public and I will never just hang out and let everyone see.  Nor will I drink or smoke while breast feeding.

Yea I agree with you, in a persons house check it is ok and/or go to the bathroom. In your in the park or some where just be discreet. But if at that point people have a problem they need to deal with it.
I drank, before I got pregnant again, while breastfeeding but I always made sure I had pumped enough for a day so the alcohol is out of my blood stream.

That still isn't good for the baby.  It takes more than a day for the remnants of alcohol to get out of the breast milk.

if your going to go around claiming facts, cant you even claim to who you are instead of hiding on anon?

Why would someone be bringing their baby to a party?

There's nothing wrong with her breast-feeding her child. She has the right to do it. She shouldn't be ashamed, or have to cover herself up.

It's not good for her to be drinking, or for her to be around smoke. If I were you, I would tell someone about what you saw.

Something needs to be done about that, as soon as possible.
