Because they use generic excuses that they've been taught to try to motivate me and use punishments that are all they know to try to correct me. I toy with them and challenge them with philosophical questions that they can't even answer. The humour in it all is that above all I want someone who would actually bother to take the time of day to understand why I do half the things I do, as most of my beliefs on work and school come from past experience and a staunch disbelief in structure and that there is any reward for hard work, as I've seen countless people strive for goals only to be utterly destroyed by factors they have no control over, so I believe in living for the moment above all, and goals are far down my list on priorities, superseded by other people, fun, and the wellbeing of others, which easily cause my work to rarely be done outside of school. Inside, I learn and I strive to gain knowledge, but as far as playing the system's little game of becoming an obedient worker ant that capitalism demands you must be, no thank you.
