My roommate has had a crush on a guy for five years. And by a crush I mean a total infatuation. She thinks about him constantly, will sometimes send him texts asking to hang out. Except the thing is he'll ignore her texts almost every single time. For the past five years. Sometimes, she'll ask if he wants to hang out and he'll say sure, but then when she goes to call him to ask where they want to meet up, he won't pick up his phone. Then he'll go back to ignoring her for months on end. She's convinced he's as flaky and antisocial as she is so she assumes its ok. If I got flaked out on more than twice I would say fuck it. She's hung out with him maybe... twice in the past three years. The rest of the times he's flaked out on her (it's happened at least ten times that I've been aware of, and that's only because I was in the room when he flaked on her.
