but it's necessary. Even the songs I don't listen to or don't like. I feel really bad deleting them.

But it's necessary, else I can't put new, better stuff on the computer.

Oh well, come christmas I should have enough spare money to buy a nice 1TB external HDD.

you can get much higher. 3 is the most ive seen at 7,200 RPM internal, they cost about £350 (what about $500?)

to OP: get an internal one, it will run much faster unless you REALLY NEED an external one
