Lolol, so I see... It's an awesome game, I still remember trying to do 'One' solo on hard, there's just no way, lulz.

Riff wise I like alot of Mars Volta riffs and early Radiohead riffs, Led Zep of course for all your hard rock riffs, Dinasour Jr has some good high gain noise rocky kind of riffs and solos, Black Flag and Fugazi for punk riffs, John Frusciante has lot of my favourite acoustic psychadelic riffs and chord progressions...

Magazine... Siouxsie and the Banshees... The Smiths has some really textured chord based arpeggio kind of riffs that were somewhat difficult for me to learn by ear at first. I think its his crazy constant use of thick chorus effects, that wobbling always carries on over other notes and I had trouble distinguishing the changes.

NoMeansNo has very technical riffs in a rhythmical sense, they have very abrupt time changes in their riffing and song structures alot which can be interesting to learn just for the sake of expanding yourself on that kind of thing.

To expand on this alot of the white stripes stuff has cool simple rock riffs. Jack White's pretty good at the rock thing, he plays Zeppelin esque riffs alot of the time that just make you want to jam out.
