Why doesn't sneaking around ever go according to plan?

I told my parents I was at work, when I really took off. Then I went to dinner with my boyfriend and two friends, then had sex. My excuse was we had new session meetings and Parks and Recreation address. (I work as a swim instructor)

So I come home and my mom it like. " Where have you been?"


And I was like.  " Work?"

"Until 10:30?"

"We had a meeting after classes, then a Parks and Recreation address by the director!"


"..... "
