I have this friend, and lately we have been very flirty with each other. I really am starting to like him but I'm terrified of being hurt, because I'm not a 100% sure he feels the same...

We were together the other day and we all of a sudden locked eyes and were just staring into each others eyes for a few minutes, like a trance and then he told me I had beautiful eyes.

I heard if a guy looks you in the eyes for more than 10 seconds he is in love or something along those lines... is that true?

You cant describe love or define it as "Looking in the eyes for 10 seconds."

It's more about what you would do for the other person. How far you would go to make sure his life is great before yourself. It's about caring about him more than you would about yourself.

Not about staring in eachothers eyes.
