My Mother recently got the Microsoft Office program with word, excel etc 2007 version.

Well My computer still has the old version, and I want to upgrade mine to 2007 like hers.

Is there any way I can transfer the progrem from her compy to mine? As in using a disk, or flash drive..? I have tried to put the whole file onto a flash drive, but idk how to install the actual program.

You need the disks in order to do it. If there are no disks, I hate to say but you're out of luck, as those disks not only have the program(s) on them but also the serial number. Microsoft is very stingy with those.

Eh, you're better off with the old version. It's not as pretty looking, but it sure works better. Not to mention the newer version's files are incompatible with EVERYTHING except itself, which is stupid.

Actually, all you have to do is remove the x off of the .docx

It will work just fine. But if you pay attention to how you save files, you should be just fine and be able to change the file format from that point.

Formats is only part of the issue. Most of it is how much of a pain to use it is.
I prefer Open Office over both of them of course, but given the choice I'd talk the old MS Office over Office 2007 any day.

I will agree with you there. I still use 2003. The only office program I enjoy being all updated and such is PowerPoint. It's even more fun to play with now. :)

Actually if you go into program files, take the installed program file's folder, and looked in "WINDOWS" for all hidden MO2007 files, copy them and place them on to your computer in the correct folders to get a fresh version.
