I used to do drugs like PCP and stuff... but lately I have been noticing that I do not understand stuff as well as I used too. I can not put two and two together in sometimes the most simplest of things and I feel stupid. Now IDK if I am being paranoid or my drug use really affected me. I hardly ever did it but I still did it... :(

Yeah, It's called being stupid for trying it in the first place! But it will get better!

Well, I've been having the same thoughts lately too.

But I've never done PCP or any other hard drugs.

Unless the few times I abused solvents is catching up with me after 5 years.

But I doubt it.

I think it's just part of getting older I'm afraid.

Know what sucks? I used to be an A student, getting good grades and all the teachers loved me. But I turned my attention to drugs and now I can hardly manage getting a C. Granted I am in college now and it is harder but still... I shouldn't be this bad...

Probably has something to do with it

They can put you in a fog for a while, but the longer your clean the more you regain what you used to feel like, granted you probably won't be at the same level as before

You might just be a little off your game. A little rusty in what you're trying to learn.

you are probably fine.

the thing with using drugs that alter your perception is that sometimes they change what is important to you. for a long time after I started doing hallucinogens, I began neglecting schoolwork because I simply had other things to deal with, like personal happiness and working on my behavior toward other people. I've mostly gotten these things taken care of and since I fucked around for a bit, it helped me realize how important school really is to me. Now I don't do schoolwork because everyone tells me I need a degree to make something of myself, I do it because I like learning and want to take advantage of the opportunity.

do not fret! the human mind is incredibly resilient. stop neglecting your mind, indulge in studying and you will reap the benefits. use what you have gained from your drug use to your advantage.

I take antipsychotics and I feel as though my brain is fried. It worries me as well, considering I have consistently performed at a very intelligent level.
