I kind of have a crush on this newish friend of mine. She is really great. Problem is that I have pretty much been damned to the friend zone. I was sitting there and she started a conversation with me asking why everybody thinks we should date. I told her that I really wasn't sure. She said that even people who don't know her are saying it too, works well for me. I really wanted to tell her that I like her. Problem is that she would probably take it the wrong way, or at least that is what I have gotten for her. She says that I am and have been "different" with  most other guys because I haven't fallen for her, that isn't true obviously because she is just a good person. I helped her through a really tough breakup, I'm not going into details, but I liked her from the first time I met her, we hadn't even talked, so this isn't a recent thing of me becoming friends and falling for her but I kind of knew I liked her from first sight. Just a little awkward that she asked me why everybody things we should date.
