At what point, if any, is a transsexual morally required to inform the person he is dating that he is, in fact, a transsexual?

I suspect a lot of people would say immediately before anything else but I don't think that's really fair or consistent. Society doesn't expect people with various other personal secrets to immediately blurt them out to anyone before they become involved with them.

Personally I would say after a few dates.

You have to think- chances are, the person is straight and they're assuming you're the gender that you appear to be. It's probably going to freak them out, and they're probably going to run away. I would say during the first date, or before the first date was even planned.

Considering that I think dating without actually properly knowing the person is a pretty bad idea, I would tell someone before dating.

Hell, I already take that approach with polyamory. Everyone who knows me well enough to try dating knows full well that I am poly and what that means.
