A) Do you believe that humans are inherently good, and all evil comes from the exterior corruptions of society? Meaning that a bad man, is bad because society made him that way.
or

B) Do you believe that man is inherently evil, and society is absolutely necessary in order to moderate man's predisposition towards evil. And that without society, no good would be cultivated and only evil would prevail.

Now I know that most of you will try to propose a synthesis of the two, or maybe even call into question the nature of "good" or "evil", but that is not the point. If you HAD to choose one. Which would it be. Which one points closest towards the truth. Not that either one is the EXACT truth, but which comes the closest.

Actually, since humans create society and it's circumstances, B is the only logical choice.

I think we're all inherently good. It's situations and experiences that change a person.

Well they're both contradictory. A) Men are good, but what they create makes them bad. B) Men are bad, but what they create makes them good.

I agree

I usually agree, but it just irritates me because this is often times used as an excuse to take the blame off the individual.

Ah.

Yes.
I believe that just because we're all inherently good, doesn't mean that a person who does an evil act shouldn't be blamed or punished for it.
They chose to act in a certain way, yes their life and upbringing and experiences are to blame, but the person is moreso to blame.

Umm then I null vote. Men are evil and act out evil ways, or good ways by choice.

I would generally say we are just born. Not good, or bad. Just neutral. Clean slate.

If I had to pick one, though, I'd say evil. Just because we have such a tendency to be selfish and inconsiderate.
