I'm a whiz with an iron, but I also straighten my hair every day, and even with all those "heat protection" products, my hair still is fried.

I was wondering if I could get the same type of curls with curlers. I've never used them before, though.

Why don't you just use mousse?  Or you could just embrace your natural hair...

Because mousse makes me hair look gross. :) It doesn't give me the spiraly curls that I like.

Well, then I guess you should just keep frying your hair until you don't have anything left.

Will do.

I have really thick, resilient hair. I'm not losing it any time soon.

I have really thick curly hair.  I used to straighten it everyday throughout middle school and until my junior year of high school.  It was completely fried and I stopped straightening it for a long time until it was healthy again.  Now I only do it every once in awhile.  Maybe you just need to take a break.  Not every girl needs straight hair to be beautiful.

I don't do it to be beautiful.  Hair that I can't control pisses me off.  If I wear my hair au naturale... I freak out. I don't know what it is. I've always been that way. I've been straightening and/or curling my hair for the majority of the last 8 years.  My natural hair isn't symmetrical. It's has a mindo f it's own. one side will look perfect and the other side will look like i brushed my hair with egg beaters.

I use both, depending on the amount of 'curl' I'm looking for.

Curlers give your hair that "VA-VOOM" volume that a curling iron simply cannot achieve. However, depending on the size of the curlers themselves, they may or may not curl as tightly as an iron. Therefore, I let 1 inch curlers sit in my hair for 1-2 hours as they cool down, then curl a few random pieces with the iron. Works wonders =]
