I use my phone as my alarm clock for the morning because it's sufficient enough to wake me up in the morning--that is, when it does go off.

Lately though, my A.M. alarms haven't been going off though--the P.M. alarms I've had no issue with.  I don't know what's going on.  It's like hit or miss with my wake-up alarm anymore.  And yes, I always do double check all the settings when I end up waking up late to see if maybe I didn't set it right--but I DO set it right:
-set to A.M.
-set to being ON
-snooze turned OFF
-alarm sound set to HIGH
-no changes to the ring tone or alert type used

It's aggravating me, because this is now the 3rd time I've been late to work this semester and that just doesn't cut it.  I've also slept through classes once or twice, and been late to them once or twice.  I realize that doesn't seem like a big issue, but I only have classes twice a week, so I SHOULD be making it on time to them every day--unless I'm sick.

Any help?  By the way, I have a Verizon Blackberry Curve 8330 in case that means anything to the situation.

Using my Blackberry Storm as an alarm makes me nervous. Because the phone is so much like a computer, and has so many other functions, the alarm clock is more susceptible to malfunctioning. Just get a simple, run-of-the-mill alarm clock from your local drug store. It's simple, it's convenient, and it's more likely to work.

A simple solution: turn the volume up to its highest setting, then move it to other side of your room. You'll teh have to get out of bed to turn it off before it drives you insane.

Again, neither of those are the issue.  I wake up if it makes noise, and since it's not set for a snooze, it'll keep going until I turn it off (when I did wake 15 minutes later than I was supposed to, it wasn't going off).  Also, as I said in my post, it was at the highest volume possible.  My alarm is just simply sounding at all.
