its really frustrating to me that fresh food is so expensive and that food that is bad for you is so cheap.

You can get a double cheesburger at McD's for 1 dollar, but you cannot get that equivalent amount of food in fresh produce  for anywhere near comprable in price.

You are poor, you dont make a lot of money, you work in manual labor 9 hours a day.

You get off work and you have 2 options

double cheesburger-1 dollar.

fresh veggies, lean hamburger meat and a complex wheat carb- 10 dollars  and when you get home you have to prepare it.

its a no brainer ,and it explains why america is so fat. :(

Well McDonalds is still cheaper version to everything else here too but people still seem to take in family values in more then a take away McDonalds, if you are too lazy to cook you order a chinesse or an indian. Irish are simple with their food so its not hard here. You have to make the best out of nothing, find the cheapest of the expensive. Like here everyone shops in Lidl or aldi cos they have become very cheap and the food is just as good as in any other shop where it might cost twice or even three times that price. But still i see your point, and thats why fast food joints are thriving no matter what.

Poor people usually don't eat the whole three meal deal but, it's basically screwing us as a country because the foods they do eat aren't going to be healthy.

I had to do a essay on this. The idea is that they make you a "customer for life", by making it cheap, fast, and "addicting" (your body craves the same crap in it once you have it, like it would caffeine).

I agree though. It's not cool that you have to fork out the cash when you're trying to make the good choice.

There's a specific kind of chips I like (Baked Tostito's Scoops). I like them because they're just as good (since I always dip them in something anyway), and they're half the fat and calories since they're baked. But they're twice as expensive. It sucks!!

Everything I like to eat is like 4 times as expensive.

the granola I eat is like 4 dollars a box. i could get cheap sugared cereal with twice the product for half the price.
