my dad told me to never cry-because it shows weakness-but i dont know why he told me that/ i thought crying was actually good for you... he told me this when i was in...hmm...2nd grade...and i have always done that... is it good-or bad???

Maybe at the time it was to stop other kids making fun of you, y'know, being a "cry-baby" or something?

But now things are a little different and people a little less childish.

If something's driven you to the point of tear, repression is not the solution.  It needs dealing with, so should be brought to the table.

No decent person should ever push away someone who is clearly that unhappy.  Any decent person would want to help someone in that position.
