Art has always been closely tied to religion, and religion to art. When one walks into a church there are statues, monuments, paintings, and many other forms of art. My passion is creating things that improve ones atmosphere,  not degrade it. I wish only that I could have the benefit of learning and practicing art in a matching, religious environment. While I am not deeply religious, I respect dearly the aesthetic vernacular that goes along with it. The Tapestries depicting biblical scenes, the paintings and statues that hold up the word of the lord on this earth, all caress my mind and sooth my soul.

I am also looking for something more in life, something that has been missing from it. I believe that if I am allowed to study at Fontbonne University, the theist doctrine will fill that void, and through osmosis, become something that I truly cherish.

But there is more to it than that, because I cannot accomplish this just anywhere or through any means. It would require immersion in such an environment, immersion in which I am not only studying art and religion, but integrating them into one singularity that hopefully will change my life.

That immersion is waiting for me behind those walls. I am prepared to do any and everything just to have that for one day, if not the entirety of my post High School education career. If accepted I will not take it lightly nor for granted and will do everything in my power to make it the most important thing in my past, and the most spectacular thing in my present.

*one's atmosphere

*Lord on this Earth

Osmosis is really poor word choice, it makes you sound like you're just using it sound impressive.
*and, through time

And change to this:
*make it the most spectacular thing in my present, and, when I leave, the most important thing in my past.

Other than those few things, it's a pretty decent application. Mind you, I haven't had much experience...
