Short version:
I really expect the Kingdom of the Netherlands to have a civilian revolution towards the established government before 2011. This because they just passed laws that makes living in it impossible for anybody making less than 1,5 times the average income and has put the current generation and the next in the most fucked up situation ever.

Long version:
I'm not talking about the Netherlands like the single country of Holland. But about the entire kingdom of the Netherlands. This refers to Holland, the Netherlands (country), carribean islands Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao, the Dutch Antilles, Saba, Sint Eustatius and Sint Maarten islands.

A coup d'état is basically forcefully dethrone a government because it isn't acting in the best or even remotely good purpose of it's citizens. And I'm getting a stronger and stronger feeling that it's just a matter of time before that happens to Holland. It's not just my personal disgustment talking anymore...

For starters, the economy is shot here. Mostly thanks to the financial crisis, but also because of the downfall of one of it's banks. How does the government act towards this? Decrease interest ratings at all banks with saving accounts. And increase land-prizes to balance it out. The job market is also shot and the government isn't stimulating it. It just makes it harder by making it easier for corporations to fire people.

What's the result of this? Everybody who rents a house, is unable to pay for the rent-prices. Which are redicilously high as it is. It's normal for a house to be about 5 year salaries. In Holland this is 4 times as high. Rent alone is half a month salary. And they're raising this even higher now while encreasing job insecurity as well.

Another major problem is that healthcare insurance is manatory here. You pay at least a thousand a year for that, which doesn't even cover anything. From 2010 this price will skyrocket as well to compensate for this "H1N1" crisis. Which is also something I'm against, because we're handed the cheapest medication that is known to cause implications and we're forced to have it taken. And next year we got to fucking pay for this as well?

The third major issue is that as long as I'm a citizen of Holland, I'm now forced to work untill I die. The average life-span of a male in Holland is 76 years. I'm now already forced to work untill I'm 65 before I'm even allowed to come up for retirement. And this is just an emergency solution. This will be raised even further in the coming years. With this additional stress, it's most likely that I will not live long enough to even see myself retire, providing I stay in Holland. The next generation is even more screwed.

I never wanted to stay in Holland, but I always had that option. Now I don't even have that. It's a definate fact that I am now stripped of the possibility to even afford living in Holland. And not just me, my entire generation is screwed. There are complete sectors like construction, ICT and healthcare students that are unable to get a job here because those sectors are destroyed. And not just my generation, anybody who doesn't make 1,5 times the average income is now unable to afford to have a roof above his/her head and a dinner.

And at the same time, this same government is stimulating development aid for African countries because those people aren't able to have food on their table.

This government is also now signed for another militiary mission, this time in Africa. So while new kids are getting send to Afghanistan now, the next batch is ready to die for another pointless goal in Africa.

The whole Dutch population is demanding that this government forsakes it's reign. They are demanding elections. No more Christian democracy or so called "socialism".. even the liberals are getting ex-communicated from the voters.

Coffee shops are closing down, organised crime has taken control of the red light districts. Amsterdam, Rotterdam and the other major cities are almost bankrupt. Even smaller municles like the one I live in are bankrupt.

And this same government still has 1,5 year to rule. In the past 6,5 years it has failed to sit through 1 term and has caused 4 downfalls or crisisses.

To be honest with you, I won't be surpised if there's going to be something happening out of civil unrest soon. I don't understand why it hasn't yet.

Within European Union; yes, it's part of the four freedoms, providing I can find a job and a place to live. However, because of the fucked up financial situation in Holland this makes it difficult. Besides, the prime-minister responsible for this bullshit in Holland is going to be the first president of the European Union.

Outside of the European Union; depends on if I can get a visum. Which is giving me a fucking headache to figure out.

I don't know for sure.. I'm thinking the population in the country of the Netherlands. There's like only 16% left that still has any faith left in the government. Considering the assaults on the PVV (liberal party) because they are against this rule and got such a large support, despite being racists, I'm thinking it's going to be a large part of their support.

They are against this as well. A lot of their resources and menpower were shot up because of the missions in Afghanistan, so even the recruitment demands got lowered by the government. So they have to train unmotivated and unadequate people for a mission that nobody in the militairy sectors believes in. They also believe that too many soldiers died for nothing because the Dutch government is too busy to look good towards the rest of the world and trying to do good, than to look at the price the actual population and soldiers pay for this.

Well in that case, the coup might have a chance.

It does, yeah.. and I honestly think it will be good for this country, providing it doesn't escalate, of course.

That will depend on who's leading it, as in, what's the dominant group.

There aren't exactly that many people who have support and the power to do that. Wilders maybe, but he's a politician and an idiot at times, so I don't think it would be a move for him.
