It doesn't have it's own set of "grammar" It's just American English translated into symbols for translation.

For those of you who do not know, ASL (American sign language) Is in fact a real language. It is not an offshoot of english translated into sign language it has its own grammatical structure and word play. It IS an actual language, merely because you don't use your mouth to use it does not mean it is not a unique means of communication.
