Google lent me a hand. Be aware that pro wrestling can be a dangerous sport. While some aspects of it may be choreographed, it still involves brute force and you always run the risk of being severely injured. Step 2 Get in top physical shape. Pro wrestlers must spend many long hours working out in the gym, doing strength-training, lifting weights, etc., to achieve their look and increase their strength and endurance. Step 3 Attend a wrestling school. If there is not one in your local area, you may need to go to another location that has one. Wrestling schools prepare you by teaching you how to fight. It can be a difficult and expensive process. Training is rigorous and there is no room for shortcuts. Step 4 Work on developing a character. The most popular pro wrestlers can easily portray over-the-top characters that crowds either love or love to hate. You need to be flexible enough to switch characters if promoters demand it. Step 5 Understand that you have to put in a lot of work. Wrestling is a real job. Many pro wrestlers work four to five times weekly in minor wrestling leagues that don't garner the same kind of attention and publicity as the larger leagues you see on television. Pay can be as low as $25 or less, but there is always the possibility that a scout will attend one of your matches and you will get signed by a major wrestling federation. Step 6 Be prepared to do a lot of traveling. To gain momentum for your career, you will need to be on the road to wrestle in matches, do publicity and the like. Get used to flying across the country, staying in cheap hotels and eating quick meals, because that will be your life when you are a pro wrestler. Step 7 Make sure your family supports your career. Pro wrestling necessitates you having to be away for long periods of time and involves you putting yourself into perilous situations in the ring. You will not be able to have a conventional family life, because pro wrestling will consume the bulk of your time. This fact could put your marriage on shaky ground.
