As many of you know, Elizabeth Lambert got suspended off of her university team for being a little too brutal on the field. As a soccer player I find this the dumbest bullshit ever. The girl that she grabbed her pony tail was grabbing onto her shorts. She had a reason to hurt her. She's just an aggressive player. If this happened in a sport like hockey, football, lacrosse played by MEN it would be considered a normal part of the game. But when it's a girl it's automatically "brutal" or "dirty".
Fuck you double standard, and fuck you media for blowing this up way out of proportion.

What she did was repeated, blatant, flagrant and really stupid. She deserved to be suspended. It's bullshit to say that this is just part of the game or that she only got suspended because it was a girl doing that crap. There's all kinds of pushing, shoving and punching that goes on in soccer, but that shit was just ridiculous.
