Hey guys.. sill a bit sleepy, just woke up
Anyway, I'm getting my tongue pierced today and wondered if there was any pre-care/post-care advice anyone would like to give.
BTW -- how bad's the actual piercing? I've had my eyebrow, lip, both ear cartilage, and my lobes gauged up, so I don't think the pain would be worse than any of those, right?

The actual piercing of it isn't bad, it's just uncomfortable after.

Its a pinch, your tongue feels dumb for a week or so kinda hard to eat kind sore but not too much. Its not that it would be worse then anything you done before its just that this one is a bit of a continues pain...lasts a while.
Not much pre-care or post-care. After you get it done an anticeptic mouth wash would be a good idea, without alcohol one as far as i remember (as the person doing it for you they will know). Some say that better off not smoking or drinking alcohol for two weeks...but thats a load of bull.

Its not that bad at all. Real quick. Just use mouth wash before hand. Dont want yo mouth smellin all funky for the dude. lol.
After get a slurpppeeee. Get like three of em. Two for after the other one runs out. Use salt water to wash it out for the first 4 days or so. You could also use watered down mouth wash. Just do not use plain ol mouth was though, because it will actually take longer to heal if you do. After the first two weeks you can start using regular mouth wash.
Once it is fully healed, you're gonna want to click it over your teeth and play with it. Its the best. But the thing is. Dont do it to much, especially if you have the metal bar in. Because it will brake down the enamel on your teeth. The one main down fall of getting your tongue down.

How does she not know? It feels horrible when you're kissing someone with their tounge peirced.
I havn't had mine done, but I can imagine it would just be a little sting. A few of my friends have accidently bit down really hard on the bar when they could eat properly and said it really hurt their tounge, so don't get to carried away I guess? Also I pressume you arn't aloud to smoke (if you do) for about two weeks and use mouth wash after you've eaten.
