Caffeine helps alot of the time. I have had some mean headaches that have been cured by a big cup of joe. And if you don't like coffee, try some Pepsi Max or tea.

Caffeine dilates the blood vessels. Some OTC headache meds actually contain a small amount of it. I have found that in many occasions (with the exception of a hangover), caffeine, in low to moderate doses helps much more than APAP, NSAIDS, or Asprin.
