okay, so for all the moms out there, answer me this question. Im 18 and have a 10 month old daughter. She has been sleeping through the night since she was 2 months old. My friend Sara, has a daughter, Mina (who is 6 months old). I babysat Mina for her last night, because Sara hadn't had sleep in the past 24 hours. literaly. .... now i know why. Mina went to sleep at 9 pm. woke up at 11 pm screaming her face off. She wasnt hungry, had a clean diaper, and was totaly fine... but she still screamed. (and yes, i tried cuddling her back to sleep too... she cried for 2 hours.) She woke up ever half and hour, to an hour, from 11 pm until 7 am. And according to Sara this happens at least 4 times a week. I have never seen a child so hell bent on staying awake. ever. This just does not seem remotely normal. not at all. any ideas on what this is?
