I personally am not a fan of tats. That being said, I have one on the back of my arm, and I like that it's not very visibly and easy to cover up in situations where a visible tattoo isn't appropriate. I think that teachers are supposed to be respectable, in 2008, that probably doesn't include visible tattoos. Your better off putting some place like on your hip or back or shoulder blade where it can be for more social situations.
It's kind of disgusting that you can't respect a teacher with a tattoo. Having a tattoo automatically disables them from being respectable? That's terribly ignorant and judgmental.
I think most tattoos are incredibley stupid. Visible tattoos are usually really dumb even more. I have a tatoo and I like it because of it's personal meaning, but i keep it to myself. I'm going into the music business where tattoos are seen as a positive thing.
Teachers need to be respected by there students and seem professional.. Tattoos simply are not professional for an educational enviorment.

I'm at a loss. Really. I switched my major from English Education to Music Education (two of my favorite things). But now I just found out that before I can be accepted into the Music Program I must pass an audition.
Shit.
I haven't played in almost two years and know for a fact all the requirements I have to meet I won't be able to learn before next semester, when auditions are held. If I don't make it in I can keep auditioning but since I'm already a semester behind (since I switched right at semester) I would be another year behind in my music Ed. classes. I really don't think I can do it. I don't know what I want to do anymore. I'm good at a lot of things, but I just don't know. Should I work my ass off trying to learn all the different scales and try to bring my music up to snuff? Should I just find another major? As of now I can choose anything but if I don't pick something soon I'm going to fall behind-- something I can't afford to do.
Does anyone have any advice? Any websites that do career testing to see where your skills lie?
I'm about to cry, this sucks.

Well.. My bf and I are on really good terms with some of the security guards at my dorm, so we just hide them in our drawers until friday when we go home for the weekend then we stash them in his car when he takes us to the train station
