Today I found out that I suffer from anxiety, and I'm scared.
I would like to know of any ways to make me feel better. I have talked to people, parents, friends, boyfriend, but does anyone have any ideas? I don't want this to get any worse I just want it over with.

They have pills that treat anxiety disorder.  My friend takes clonazapam (which is generic klonapin) which is similar to xanax or valium

I don't want medication. I've heard it doesn't conquer the Anxiety, only helps the panic attacks.

I have bad anxiety as well. Panic attacks, stuff like that.
If you dont want pills, say, try things to keep your mind off stuff? Listen to music, take up a hobby, etc...Something that might calm you down. And talk about anything worrying you.

they have non- narcotic meds for that too. i have some (i'm supposed to take 3 a day). but if i take 1 i sleep for 20 hours so i just don't take any at all

I didn't mean the medication I actually meant a way to learn to deal with it without the help of medication. Learning to stop the anxiety when you start feeling anxious.

When you have an anxiety attack, try to think about what it is that caused it.  Like if it is just being around people you don't know, then just try to become more social and meet new people.  Don't be afraid to be who you are.  Thats when I have anxiety is when I'm around people that I don't know.

I get anxiety because I think somethings wrong with me. Like if I get the slightest headache I think its something serious. How do i stp that.
