I want to know your guys' opinions on what might be causes of autism.

This is not for my homework - my project is on mandatory vaccines and a lot of reasons why parents don't have their children vaccinated is because they believe it causes autism (no evidence has been proven to show that this is the real cause or what the real cause actually is).

I'm just curious to know your opinions.
I welcome those who do and do not know any autistic persons.

it might be a case of better diagnoses, a case of over diagnosing, some sort of toxin or pollution that has yet to be identified, or just a genetic disorder that happens to be becoming more frequent for some reason... The last one i'm not really sure about why it would be becoming more frequent, but i suppose it is possible.

well, my nephew is functionally autistic (he was never vaccinated though)

he is extremely intelligent. they noticed it when he was very young. i don't know what a direct cause could be, but since it can be noticed so early, i wouldn't say it is far-fetched to assume it happens inside the womb, or as a cause of something to do with the genes of the parents
