All of a sudden, he tells me "It would be better if we don't talk anymore. I don't want you to get false hopes"
then he mentioned something about having to move to another state.
I asked him what was going on, but he didn't want to talk to me.

What do I do? Should I attempt to talk to him?
Or should I just leave him alone?

I don't know what to do.

So try being there for him , but just as a friend

just be friends. he has obviously noticed, or thinks, you still like him, but he is moving away, and doesnt want to hurt you twice.

Actually, he's the one that keeps bringing up the times when we were together. I actually have been trying to keep it casual.

I obviously do still have feelings for him. But I try not to make it seem like it around him.
