Its because people are afraid of the unknown. I certainly dont blame them, because its ignorant to blame someone for the human condition(lol IRONY!!) We need more education about it. Unfortunately people are afraid if we educate too much, itll recruit them to being a transgender. Just like being around a gay person somehow makes you gay.
Its a tough, but its going to take a long time. And I mean decades, perhaps more, before theyre truly accepted. Its blacks in America all over again.

Biologically some people are born girls, but in male bodies. Their hormones may say female, but they have a penis. And vice versa.

ok obviously we don't all have hate issues. But for a lot of us the concept is just a foreign one. not usual, so we may be a little weirded out by a trans-gendered individual. but upon getting to know them and finding out they are a nice person, those feelings should go away.
