Is there anyway to get the Windows Media Player to play in the taskbar like it did in vista?
Like so:

I've wondered this. The closest I've managed is the Jump Menu that appears when you hover over to get basic play/pause and track skip controls.
I agree that the previous Windows Media Player Taskbar integration was superior to the one in 7.
Maybe we'll see improvements in WMP13?

I want to be doing other things whilst I watch movies, I cant constantly hover over it. Why they didn't keep that feature I don't know :(

The new integration is nice, pretty slick and that but they should of had some happy medium. The ability to constantly view it from the taskbar with the new look.
Hopefully they will make some improvement, this normally wouldn't bother me but I broke my DVI to HMDI cable so I can't use my 32in TV and monitor so I'm a bit lacking on room.
