This theme is surprisingly common at my college; well in my "peer group" anyway ...
Like a lot of people in the art and design building don't want kids. I always thought I was the only one who hated children ha ha. I dunno if it's the same in the rest of the college, because I don't really talk to people "outside".
If they ARE the same, and the majority of this generation won't procreate, then the population will decrease, the pressure on the planet will ease up, and the human race will be continued by some um interesting people
I dunno what to make of that

The hate for kids doesn't supercede the love for unprotected sex. I know a lot of people who don't like kids but blame it on "being in the heat of the momment." The few artistic people in your class doesn't speak for a whole generation, and even if it does it doesn't mean those very people won't accidetally reproduce...

And have you ever heard of the pill, the morning after pill or abortion? There are ways to avoid creating more humans.

you may not necessarily know if something did happen where u would need to take the morning after pill. and alot of people say they would abort if the child was unplanned...but a big portion of the time once you know there is a baby growing inside of you, things change.

and just because people in your building, at your school does not mean that is how the rest of your country, let alone the world thinks. its very normal to want children one day, and just because you are surrounded by the few that have your same ideals...that is not how the rest of the world feels

Maybe it's just a certain time in a person's life that they feel that way. I never really imagined "artsy" people wanting kids. I know a lot of people who are not fond of children. I guess everyone's different. There are SO many more people that will continue to have children, though. Everyone will just have 18 babies!
