i was wondering...is it possible to take apart an old boom box and somehow be able to connect it to a psp with a headphone jack?just to make the music louder

You would have to somehow get it to plug into the headphone jack on the stereo because your PSP doesnt have a very powerful amplifier. And I'm pretty sure there isn't a headphone jack to headphone jack connection, but you could make one with some rca couplers.

There is probably a way, but you would need to know how to solder in an input before the amplifier. Some higher end stereos might have an auxiliary input (so you can play any mp3 player through stereo).
