my sister plays mind games with everyone she knows.. but her favorite target is me.. one day she's my best friend and she goes on and on about how much she loves me and she doesn't know what she'd do without me and i'm her best friend.. but then.. one tiny little mistake.. one ill timed joke. one minor comment i should have kept to myself and she becomes someone else entirely.. she tells me i'm stupid. i'm ugly. i'm worthless. i'll never be as good as her. as pretty as her.. as smart as her. "oh sure.. you read and you write poetry and you got better grades than me.. you graduated.. but think about it.. really think about it, sweetheart.. i control the lives of everyone around me.. you know i'm better than you" she says things like that all the time. it's true.. i could never be as manipulative as her. i don't even know how.. and i can deal with her bi-polar bullshit.. but she's forgotten me.. she's moved on to another target.. her husband.. she got married in august.. and she's already chewed him up and getting ready to spit him out. i feel so bad for the poor guy because he loves her so much. he's a good guy and i hate to see her treat him like she does. he deserved so much better than what he got from her. she's just spent the last four hours on the phone with a guy who isn't her husband.. and i want to slap her and scream that she has a wonderful man who adores her.. something i've never had. probably will never have.. and it's not good enough for her. nothing's ever good enough..

oh jesus.. no!! she's my sister and i love her. i wish i could help her but i don't know how. she's going to make a mess of her marriage and come crying to me to be her best friend and clean it all up.. i know that when she says the things that she says, that she might mean them in the moment.. but her words are meaningless.. she does have a way of manipulating our family around her.. and she does have a way of getting whatever she wants.. but when her husband stops loving her.. i don't think he'll take her back.. i'm just not sure i want to deal with her once it's over between them.. she's going to be hysterical..
