the only jobs I can seem to find to apply for these days just want to pay out about min wage and only require you to have a ged or high school diploma

i know a lot of min wage jobs won't hire someone who has higher degrees and certifications and whatnot because they are supposed to be paid more...

Nah. I work with people who have graduated colleges and have/have had other higher paying management jobs and they were able to pick up a minimum wage job where I work.

Unless that's some weird law in texas or something.

Just get the job.

Minimum wage is better than nothing.

I know I can't be a teacher in a real school until the economy completely turns around so I've applied at a bunch of pre-schools.  I don't have any of the certs to do any of the tech jobs that are interesting, fast food is out of the question and same with the bullshit answering phones for 800 numbers.

I already passed the teaching exams to teach 3/4 year olds in public school, but the only person to e-mail me back so far was for a teacher assistant job.  I went and dropped an application off and it looked like they were all 19-21 year old girls so I'm guessing none of them have any of the qualifications I have.

Oh that specific app was like Thursday or Friday, they said they were going to do their interviews this week.

E-mailed about a bunch in the past week or two.

Two of the corporate places were like fill out some stuff online and then they haven't gotten back.

Filled out apps for various stuff before and never got interviews.

This place e-mailed me back and was like hey just drop an app off when you can.  That happened to be the day all that shit happened on post, so they were cool with me not getting to them till the next day.
