I need a predator and a prey, that I can show how evolution has impacted them. Like an animal with an evolutionary defense/offense mechanism. You know what I'm talking about? Can anyone give me an example?

No, I prefer bigger animals. Like a wolf and a bear, I just don't know the mechanism they have due to evolution.

geckos are a good animal to use for this
read about their tails and why they are shaped the way they are

or bison if you're really interested in a large animal

any large cat is good for predatory animal
read about their claws, how they extend, how they use their tails as rudders, their hunting techniques
