Anyone know anything about them? I remember them advertising that one that just sticks to your cellphone's battery several years ago... but haven't really heard anything about them. My aunt, however, bought one but it plugs into your car and it looks ridiculous- reminds me of those stupid antennas on a cop's car.
Anyway, where I live I have no reception but I know I'm practically on the border as I'll randomly receive text messages. I'm just looking for a way to boost it just a little bit if anything, to at least send and receive calls.
Edit: Here's one I found on eBay
Basically just sticks to your battery. Someone once told me they could make your battery explode as they drain the hell out of it. I'm considering trying it out, as the ones on eBay are only about a dollar including s&h. I am however afraid of the battery issue... that's one of my pet peeves about cellphones as it is and my number one priority on picking out phones: the battery life.

Yeah they reduce dropped calls, and increase signals.
They will have to replace your cell phone built in antenna though. So you should probably take it to your cellphone company store. Like if you were with AT&T, you take it to their, store and they should help you fix it. Some best buy stores do it too. Or if you know some petty self own cellphone repairers.
Why not just get a new phone? I mean the cost of doing the antenna booster will probably add up to a new better cellphone. But yeah, cellphone antenna boosters helps you get better reception.

I tried talking to the AT&T store down here and the guy basically shut me out. Told me that they can't allow that because I can lose my warranty on my phone as soon as I do it.
The phone I have is brand new and works great otherwise. I was surprised to even get text messages home now.

Try the stickers.
I don't think it would wear out your batteries, or cause it more damage than batteries go through anyways. That's just a myth they use to discourage customers from using boosters. Battery life is based solely on the cellphone usage.
Ask the technicians at best buy first if they do it.
