One thing that worries me here is that you say you don't like having down time.. you sound like me! I hate not being busy, not being productive.. I freak out. Which is why I'm afraid that if I took time off school, I'd go crazy with not having anything to do, not having to study, getting bored, etc. If you think it'd help you, it'd be wise, but make sure youy know what you want to do to fill that time first so you don't end up even more overwhelmed! Or maybe just changing your major, switching schools as you mentioned, working part time, trying to find some new hobbies, groups, clubs etc. to fill your time GOod luck with everythin!!

I've had that feeling for the past few years. I feel like I was put here to do something incredible, but I have no idea what it is.  I think it's something like when Priests or those in religious service say they had a "calling".  I don't want to sound cocky with this at all, that's not my intention.  I am a very humble man.

I am very quiet and keep to myself more often than not. I observe a lot, and do a ton of thinking, sometimes too much.  I know myself to become a prisoner of my brain at some points.  I have no idea where this feeling came from.  It feels like I won't be satisfied when I'm done on this earth unless I have done something that fits these guidelines.  Otherwise I feel like I would have been wasting my time.

I can't just go day-to-day with a normal job, making moderate income, and just die being another face in the crowd. I have to be somebody, I have to do something to change the world.

That's how I feel, and damnit, that's what I'm going to do.
