When he saw me walk into the house yesterday he hugged me and smiled really big and said "Welcome home darlin'." And I was happy! It's not often he shows how much he loves me like that.
And then I smelled the beer and tequila on his breath. How horrible am I that it takes him drinking to show he missed me?
Ugh.

that's not bad. im kinda a cold distant person and when im high i know it makes me easier to be affectionate and show love to those i care about. it's probably just easier for him to express himself when he's had a few drinks.

Its not horrible. Alot of people are just afraid to show emotion. And that is how they show it they have to find a outlet.
PLUS did you ask him if thats why or did you just assume thats why he was happy. he might not of even been drunk. He might of just had a few sips.
