Well that depends though. To a certain degree yes, but there are many, many many points of knowledge that make up intellectualism. It's patently absurd to expect everyone to know exactly what you do, as everyone has to specialize to some degree. For example, I can't hold it against most people that they don't know a lot about computers, because it happens to have taken me a great deal of time to get where I am. I'd expect the same of a philosophy expert to forgive me if my philosophy knowledge is somewhat limited in scope. Only a basic level of intellectualism should be expected across the board of all people capable.
